Strands buries a hidden theme inside a letter grid. Find every theme word by dragging connected letters, and you will also net one spangram - a special entry stretching across the board that names the theme itself.
Non-theme words are not wasted: every three found charges a hint that reveals letters of a missing theme word. Themes range from literal to slyly punny, so once you spot one answer, interrogate its neighbours for the pattern. The New York Times weaves a new web daily.
